Trove Tuesday

ONE TREE HILL, November 12.- The King's Birthday saw the revival of an old custom here. For many years the College Town cricketers had been in the habit of spending that holiday here as the guests of the local team, but for about four years a break had occurred. On Monday the visitors were victors, the scores being:-

College Town, 220; One Tree Hill 102.

Luncheon was provided in the Institute, with the following ladies in charge:- Mesdames J. L. Blackham. Clucas, J. S. Harvey, Ifould, H. McKenzie, Thomas, Taylor and Miss Kelly. A public tea was held in the afternoon. The tables were provided by the local Rechabites "Bachelors," and Institute trustees, and presided over by the following ladies.

Mesdames Adams. F.-Bowman, Hutchens E. A. Kelly and M. G. Smith. Misses Blencowe Harvey, Taylor, and Walter. After the tea an entertainment was held in the Institute, which was crowded. The programme was given by visitors from Adelaide and Gawler. The whole of the takings (£15) are to go to the Institute Funds.
