Death at Peachey Belt

The Coroner W.Wyatt Esq held an inquest on the 15th instant at Peachey belt, on the body of Donald Cameron, whose sudden death we reported on Thursday last. It appeared from the evidence that the deceased complained of being ill on his return from town on Wednesday evening. He said he had eaten some peaches and drank a great quantity of water. A messenger was dispatched for medical assistance, but before its arrival the deceased breathed his last. His stepdaughter heard him exclaim a moment before he expired, "Who is to take care of my wife and family?". Verdict, natural death.
