Post a memory encourages local residents to record a snippet of the past onto a postcard and then post it back to us. We have been trying this now for several months and have received some great stories.
Here is a recent one.
In the mid 60's in Elizabeth the buses had big hooks on the rear of the bus. Whilst mothers boarded the bus with their baby, the driver would take their pushes and hand them on the back on the hook.
Elizabeth Downs has always been a friendly area, with no shortage of volunteers. The hall in Uley road was the venue for a kids club.
