William Saint

Farmer, born at Virginia, SA, on the 2nd of Jan, 1861, and is the third son of John Saint, of Balaclava, SA. Mr. Saint was educated under private tuition at his native place, and received his preliminary instructions in the occupation of a farmer under the immediate supervision of his father.

At the age of twenty-three he started farming on his own account, and in conjunction with his brother took up 620 acres of freehold land ; 300 acres of this is under wheat crop, and 40 acres under hay. He has in addition to this five acres of reserve land where he at present resides.

On the 22nd September, 18$6, he married Caroline Louisa Miell, of Crystal Brook, by whom he has one son.

He is an, Oddfellow, and also a member of the Australian Mutual Provident Society. He was educated at Gawler Plains, and followed farming with his parents until his father removed to Virginia.
